In what seems like a stronger-than-ever comeback, the extremely popular Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show is back again for 2023. While this writer did not attend this year, SoundStage! Australia was fortunate enough to have had reviewer Peter Katsoolis’ bovver boots firmly planted on the flamboyantly carpeted ground of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. He’s heroically submitted a pictorial summation of the weekend’s huge high-end audio fest.
The Heat Is On
Given the time of year in the super-exciting city of Hong Kong, the heat must have been, as usual… challenging. Yet, you’d never know it, given the heavy throngs I’m told were in attendance. We’re thankful because, quite unsolicited, Peter Katsoolis generously did a grand job of covering the massive event. Within the scope of this unscheduled feature, we’ve published a percentage of some of the most exciting exhibits Peter visited. Have a scroll through the free-for-all gallery below. No equipment lists and no room sound descriptions, we’ve just reflected the unfettered purity of this no-holds-barred, gratuitously high-end audio carnival with its own unique personality. Xiǎngshòu!
