Lumin continues to expand its digital signal chain with the introduction of the new N1 ‘Audiophile Network Switch’, offered in chassis finishes to match the company’s highly acclaimed components.
The new N1 features ten ports in order to cater to the most complex system configurations. To that end, there are six RJ45 Gigabit ethernet ports and four SFP fibre sockets, with the ten options providing flexibility and digital signal electrical isolation. A BNC 50 ohms connector offers 10 MHz connectivity to an external master clock while also providing synching with Lumin’s own U2X. Included in the package are two SFP LC modules and optical and ethernet network cables. According to Lumin the N1 requires “zero configuration”.
Signal protection is offered via an in-built linear power supply which features a toroidal transformer and a low-noise linear regulator. The power supply is installed within its own shielded compartment. Further digital signal protection comes via ‘Stealth Mode’ which shuts down all onboard LEDs and is said to reduce high frequency noise.

The N1 is available in Lumin’s high quality Black or Raw anodised aluminium finishes. Availability is via Australian distributor Audio Magic’s established dealer network around the country.
