With a comeback to some form of ‘normality’ expected in 2022 – provided our vaccination uptake remains as strong as it currently is – the concept of the audio show may be returning. To that end, The Chester Group gives a hint at what’s to come.
The Chester Group has provided a date, venue and some key details as to what the Australian Hi-Fi & AV Show might look like. With COVID-19, in practice, hopefully defeated (as far as a return to a functioning society) the show dates are stated as being from Friday 7 to Sunday 9, October 2022, while a quality venue in the Rydges Sydney Central Hotel has been arranged and a package of incentives has been planned. The dates and venue were sought with a view to avoid Australian audio show calendar clashes – namely StereoNet’s Show in Melbourne in February 2022.
The Rydges Sydney Central venue is said to offer exhibitors and attendees larger exhibit rooms, with the smallest said to be 25 square meters, mid-sized rooms around 30 meters square and the larger spaces over 50 meters square. The rooms will be located on a single dedicated floor. Underground parking can cater for up to 200 cars while Sydney’s Central station is a short five-minute stroll from the hotel. Of course the district is a hub of restaurants, cafes and entertainment.
The Chester Group is also celebrating what’s to be the 10th audio show – or the company’s 10th Anniversary in Australia. The milestone will be marked by more International Keynote Speakers, event live streaming and more. Importantly, The Chester Group has confirmed a local entity will be established to coordinate sales and provide exhibitor support.
The Chester Group will introduce a number of incentives in order to motivate both exhibitors and attendees. Founder Roy Bird told SoundStage!
